Educaids is a network of Protestant-Christian development organizations in the Netherlands and partner organizations in developing countries, currently concentrated in Ethiopia, Kenya, Malawi and Uganda.
Educaids partners in The Netherlands and in developing countries build on Protestant-Christian values in their engagement to promote the Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) of young people. Educaids acknowledges that questions related to religion play an important role in peoples’ decisions on their SRHR. This could be a valuable and important entry point for positive transformation.
The name Educaids is illustrating the original focus on education and HIV and AIDS. During the last years, this focus has broadened to SRHR, and linkages are made to other important thematic areas like health, gender and child rights and participation. Nevertheless, education remains our primary entry point for change.
