EDUCAIDS Christian Alliance on Hiv and Education

Organization

Educaids partners are based in South and North. To enhance linking and learning, Educaids activities in Southern countries are preferably taking place within a coalition of organizations. Southern partners (CSO’s) are invited to work together in coalitions (called Educaids networks) according to the Educaids mission and vision. Most partners already have a relation with Dutch (Educaids) donor organizations, but the southern coalition has an open and fluid character which allows for participation of new organizations.

A large part of coordination is situated at national level and is provided by one of the network members, acting as focal point organization. In future, to enhance the linkage between Educaids’ capacity building and CSE programme development, it could be considered to hand over the Educaids coordination to the national donor offices that are already established in most countries.

International coordination is provided by the Educaids coordinator, based in The Netherlands. The coordinator formulates the Educaids policy, strategy and operation, in consultation with partners and the Dutch Educaids steering committee. The Dutch Educaids donor organizations[ are represented in this committee, and ensure the communication and alignment with other stakeholders and - especially in the case of donor organization PRISMA - with the donors that closely cooperate with them.
