Civil Society Coalitions
Educaids considers the cooperation of Civil Society Organizations (CSO’s) as an effective way to promote and improve CSE. For that purpose, Educaids promotes and supports the establishment of networks of CSO’s that function as a Civil Society Coalition (CSC), thus enabling development organizations to engage in capacity building activities to develop and share knowledge and experience. These CSC’s provide a basis for the formulation of combined proposals for the funding of CSE programmes that could be implemented either by individual organizations, or as a CSC together. As Educaids has primarily access to the partners of its Dutch members/donors the building of the networks starts with them. However, the network is open for other partners that could enrich the partnership with a specific expertise or focus on target groups. Educaids further promotes network collaboration in a Programmatic Approach (PA). In this approach, partners work together in a common programme, with a shared goal and to which each partner contributes in its own way.
